IMGUR: One of the better image hosting services out there
We already have tons of image hosting services on the web. Some requires registration while others do not.
Flickr and Photobucket are great when you need to keep your photos connected to an account.
But for public sharing of photos, we prefer hosting them on sites which do not require any registration.
Some of these are: ImageShack and TinyPic.
Imgur.com is another player which is becoming very popular on the web. It is being used heavily by users on Digg for photos.
One of the benefits is pretty clear… Unlike ImageShack, there is much more bandwidth that is made available to images hosted on Imgur so you do not end up with a dead picture after it becomes popular on Digg.
The interface is pretty simple and you can upload five images at a time.

Once the image is uploaded you get several options. Unlike ImageShack, it does not highlight the code that generates a thumbnail with a link to the service itself. The code for hotlinking of images is easily accessible.
It also uses cool JavaScript to make it easier for you to copy the text. No clicking and selecting is required. Just hover over the code and it’s selected for you to copy.
Just play around with it if you are not using it already!
