Posterous has announced the launch of custom themes on their blogging service.

Their users had long been asking for the ability to make their own themes.

The service is now allowing the users to make subtle changes to developing complete themes.

They are also offering five prepared themes for implementation on their blogs.

They are planning to add a lot more in the coming weeks.

Customized themes provide several options to the blogger:

1. they can change the header of their blogs
2. they can customize the colours of the various elements on their blog
3. the service also allows them to make elaborate changes to both HTML and CSS components

Mugasha, Vidly, and Tweetvite are some of the services which use Posterous as their blogging platform.
