Nielsen Online: users waste more time on Facebook than Google
Here is an eye-opener. Nielsen Online has reported that as per their research, web users tend to spend much more time on Facebook social network.
The report claimed that users spent an average of 5 hours, 46 minutes on it last month. This is much higher compared to other services they tracked.
In fact, this time is three times the time spent by an average web user on Google services.
Yahoo did well in this report by coming second. Apparently Yahoo still has a couple of web services that lure a lot of users (Yahoo Games for example).
YouTube did not perform well in this report. Users spent an average of 1 hour and 17 minutes on YouTube last month.
This is very good news for Facebook as they continue to grow at an incredible pace. Facebook has become profitable and now has more than 300 million users.
