Facebook introducing Prototypes for optional features?
Mashable has just reported that Facebook is working on a new feature named Facebook Prototypes.
This would include functionalities and applications that would be optional for the end user.
In other words, it would be similar to Google Labs which allows the user to add optional functionalities on Gmail and Google Calendar.
As of now, this section has three utilities:
Facebook Desktop Notifications,
Facebook Similar Posts,
Facebook Enhanced Event Emails
We think this is a good development. Users would like to have more power on what features they want on their Facebook account just like Gmail allows us to do with Gmail Labs.
