Facebook Lite now available in USA!
TechCrunch has just reported that Facebook has now launched the Lite edition of the service in the US market.
Facebook Lite was previously available in limited markets such as India where internet access is relatively slow and expensive.
Facebook Lite provides Twitter like streams of data from friends and brands allowing the user to stay connected to the service on a slower connection.
The company claims that this service is designed to provide a faster and easier access.
If you check out Facebook Lite, you would find it pretty darn similar to Twitter in nature.
With Facebook bringing support for @tagging, we could soon see this being used as a popular alternative to Twitter itself!
