Apple App Store achievements

Steve Jobs took sometime earlier today to highlight some of the achievements of their mobile store.

Jobs had these statistics for us related to the Apple App Store:

Apple iPhone and iPod Touch users have downloaded more than 1.8 billion apps since its launch last year.

Apple App Store is now home to more than 75000 mobile applications.

The company added that they have sold more than 30 million Apple iPhones since its launch 2 years back. I bet Nokia and Microsoft could not have imagined this figure.

Other highlights:

Apple has sold over 220 million iPods till now.

Apple iPod has a 73.8% market share in USA in the portable media player segment.

Apple iPod Touch has seen sales of 20 million units worldwide.

Apple App Store has more than 21000 games and entertainment titles making it the strongest mobile gaming platform for any developer.

Apple iPod Nano has seen sales of 100 million units.
