Dick Costolo joins Twitter as its new COO

Micro-blogging service Twitter has confirmed the appointment of Dick Costolo as their new COO.

Dick Costolo is the co-founder of FeedBurner which is now owned by Google. He was also the CEO of the company at one point of time.

Costolo was in fact one of the early investors in Twitter.

He had left Google in July this year after the acquisition.

It remains to be seen what new changes we would see at Twitter after this appointment.

FeedBurner made RSS analytics popular. It would be interesting to see if Twitter has similar plans for their own service.
