Loopt can now run in background on the Apple iPhone!
Loopt is going to become the first application that can run constantly on the Apple iPhone.
The developers of this app have received the permission from AT&T which provides the mobile service for the iPhone in the US market.
Loopt is designed to broadcast the user’s location to compatible services.
It would of course ask for the user’s permission before it can perform any activity on the iPhone.
There is one slight problem for this new functionality. AT&T would require a monthly fee of $3.99 for this functionality. There is a free trial which would last for 14 days. It would be available to 5000 users.
