Digg implements NOFOLLOW for spammy external links
Digg has become the latest social network to apply NOFOLLOW attribute to external links which are not from trusted sources.
The aim is to make it futile for spammers to put their content on the Digg network as NOFOLLOW does not pass on the benefit from getting linked from a popular site.
Digg said that NOFOLLOW would not be used for links which they can vouch for.
This new policy is applicable to all links whether they are in comments, user pages or story pages.
