Apple highlight printer and scanner support in Mac OS X Snow Leopard
Mac OS X Snow Leopard is a couple of days old now. The company has now revealed a list of printers and scanners which are officially supported by this new operating system.
The list is pretty comprehensive and includes the hardware whose drivers are accessible from the Snow Leopard installer disc and Mac OS X Software Update.
Apple adds:
If your printer or scanner does not appear in the list below, visit the device manufacturer’s web site or contact the manufacturer to find out if software is available for Mac OS X v10.6. If software for your printer is not available and your printer supports a common printer language such as PostScript or PCL, you may be able to perform basic printing functions using the Generic PostScript or PCL drivers available from the “Print Using” pop-up menu while adding a printer.
