µMonitor for µTorrent bittorrent client rejected from Apple App Store

Apple is in news for rejecting yet another mobile app that is pretty harmless.

µMonitor was developed to enable users to easily control their downloads on µTorrent client on the move.

Apple rejected the app as it is related to the bittorrent networks.

It took Apple four months to inform the developer of the problems in the application.

Apple said:

“We’ve reviewed µMonitor and determined that we cannot post this version of your application to the App Store at this time because this category of applications is often used for the purpose of infringing third party rights. We have chosen to not publish this type of application to the App Store.”

Apple of course had previously declined a similar application that worked with the Transmission bittorrent client.
