Microsoft previews Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer
Software giant Microsoft has announced the availability of a preview version of Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer. This application is aimed at giving developers a chance to see the tools to develop applications for the company’s upcoming Vista Operating System.
This tool is available as a trial download from the company’s website for free at the moment. Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer is not yet a production stage tool yet but would be good enough to give developers a chance to try some of the new tool’s “innovative featuresâ€. This includes 2D and 3D graphics, animation, dynamic layout, data binding, style, and template editing and resource management capabilities.
Microsoft has also released an updated version of its Expression Graphic Designer, which can be used to develop graphics for use in the Interactive Designer for deployment within a user interface. These tools are aimed at applications, which would use the WinFX environment, which would make an appearance in the Windows Vista Operating System later this year.
Developers would also be able to deploy these tools on the Windows XP platform but the users would be required to download and install WinFX runtime components.
