Adobe has an update for Photoshop CS3 users on Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Apple launched their latest operating system Mac OS X Snow Leopard yesterday.

Adobe had some disappointing news for their customers a couple of days back.

The company had stated that they are not going to officially support Adobe Creative Suite 3 on Snow Leopard.

Adobe however plans to fully support Adobe Creative Suite 4 on this new operating system.

A company representative blogged about running Photoshop CS3 on Snow Leopard and most of the news was encouraging.

John Nack stated:

It turns out that the Photoshop team has tested Photoshop CS3 on Snow Leopard, and to the best of our knowledge, PS CS3 works fine on Snow Leopard.

He further suggests:

It has always been Adobe’s policy not to go backwards and do dot releases on software that is no longer shipping.

That said, none of us like to inconvenience customers, so the reality is that we *do* actually perform some amount of testing on older product if we believe that there are a significant number of customers using it. So does Apple.
