Microsoft launches Bing SDK for iPhone and Mac
Microsoft has launched the software development kits to connect to their Bing search engine for both Mac OS X and the Apple iPhone platform.
The company is hoping that this SDK would boost the usage of Bing technologies in the applications on these two rival platforms.
Microsoft Windows competes with Mac OS X while Windows Mobile competes with Apple iPhone in the smartphone market.
The company said that the SDK provides the following capabilities to developers:
* The ability to easily query Bing from within your Cocoa or Cocoa Touch application.
* Perform both synchronous and asynchronous queries.
* Search Bing for Web, Image, Video, News, and Phonebook results.
