Facebook for iPhone 3.0 still not approved by Apple

Apple is yet to approve the latest version of the official Facebook app for their iPhone and iPod Touch devices.

Facebook is waiting for the approval before the application can be offered to the users of the popular social network.

Apple App Store currently is serving the older version of the Facebook mobile app.

Facebook for iPhone developer Joe Hewitt had a message for Apple on his blog about their controversial approval mechanism.

He said: “There are plenty of successful platforms out there which free developers to publish anything, but punish them if they do something harmful. This allows developers to move fast, fix bugs immediately, get feedback from users at a very low cost.”
