Bit.ly continues to expand with new partnerships
Industry experts might claim that link shortening services have little value as it is very hard for them to generate solid revenues.
But this has not deterred Bit.ly from becoming the giant in this segment of the market.
Bit.ly is already the default link shortening service used by Twitter.
The company has announced some new deals which would further boost their usage on the web.
Some of the new partnerships are:
Google Reader uses bit.ly to shorten links for their recently added ‘send to’ feature.
Typepad generates short links for blog posts using bit.ly. Bloggers get access to analytics from the backend.
CBS is also working with bit.ly for their news and video content.
