Research in Motion acquires Torch Mobile

Research in Motion has some exciting news for their fans.

The company is acquiring Torch Mobile which develops web browsing solutions based on the popular webkit engine.

Webkit is already used by Apple Safari and Google Chrome. It also powers the web browser on the Google Android devices.

Blackberry is already the standard when it comes to mobile email solutions. Web browsing on Blackberry devices is not as good as Apple iPhone.
