Rosemary Port to sue Google for revealing her identity

Rosemary Port was recently revealed as the blogger behind the Skanks in NYC blog which made news after Google was forced by the courts to release the detail of the person operating it.

Port has now announced her decision to sue the search engine giant. Manhattan Supreme Court had recently ruled that Google would have to reveal the identity in a case filed by 36-year-old model Liskula Cohen who was being mocked on the said blog.

Port said that the lawsuit resulted in more negative publicity for the model as it was not even popular.

She said: “Before her suit, there were probably two hits on my web site – one from me looking at it, and one from her looking at it.”

She further said: “Without any warning, I was put on a silver platter for the press to attack me. I would think that a multi-billion dollar conglomerate would protect the rights of all its users.”
