Auto Resize JPEG is an excellent add-on for Mozilla Thunderbird

One of the most popular activities for home users is to share photos with friends and relatives.

Not everyone is savvy enough to share them using online services.

A lot of users are still using email as the primary mode of sending and sharing photos.

This creates a lot of problem for some users who have little clue on how to optimize photos for easy sharing online.

Digital cameras available in the market today usually output photos which are in megabytes.

If you try to send a couple, you are likely to hit a tight spot.

This is where Auto Resize JPEG extension for Mozilla Thunderbird comes in handy.

The extension enables you to set some preconfigured settings which are used to resize and optimize the images before the emails are sent.

You can set it to ask for a confirmation or automatically do the processing in the background every time an email with a photo attachment is sent.

We however recommend to use Picasa and Gmail for sharing photos easily. Picasa does the hard job of optimizing images and the emails are sent automatically.
