Google: We are not blocking Skype on Android
Google faces complications on the Apple iPhone platform with their Google Voice service.
The company is now facing controversies on their own mobile platform Google Android.
Industry sources have accused the company of blocking Skype on the Android platform.
Skype enables anyone to make cheap international calls using the internet instead of the telephone networks.
Google Android platform does not have a fully functional Skype application till now.
The search engine giant has claimed that they are not blocking the developers from deploying VoIP applications.
Google said that the developers have still not submitted applications which are fully capable.
The company added: “While the first generation of our Android software did not support full-featured VoIP applications due to technology limitations, we have worked through those limitations in subsequent versions of Android, and developers are now able to build and upload VoIP services.”
