Google G1 Android Smartphone might not get any more firmware updates

Google G1 from HTC was the very first smartphone to be powered by the Google Android mobile platform.

It managed to sell in decent numbers despite having several major flaws. The hardware was not capable enough and the owners might soon face the reality.

Google Android developers have hinted that G1 owners might not get any more firmware updates as the device cannot handle more than what the last update delivered.

The latest release was the Android Cupcake update which is said to have filled the G1’s system partition.

T-Mobile has not officially revealed anything on this front. The most shocking part of the whole saga is that the Google G1 smartphone is not even 12 months old!
