Spotify coming to China with support from Tom Group
China based media company Tom Group has announced that they are collaborating with Spotify to bring their services to the Chinese market.
Spotify is a free web based service that streams music. It is currently available in select countries in Europe.
The service generates revenues through advertising.
Tom Group and Spotify would collaborate to create a localized version of the service for Chinese web users.
The two companies said in a statement: “Tom will work toward unveiling a localized version of Spotify in Greater China in the near future.”
