Facebook bans sponsored status updates
Facebook has released their updated proposed changes to the terms and conditions and one of the new additions is pretty interesting.
The social networking giant is aiming to block users from selling their status messages to advertisers.
This is similar to Twitter where users can now make money by advertising companies through their status updates.
In fact, there are services online which enables advertisers and Twitter users to connect with each other.
It remains to be seen if this trend would become popular on Facebook. But they have already taken the initiative to ban them on the network.
This could also be a hint on the upcoming integrated plans of Facebook to merge with FriendFeed which they have just acquired.
