Google News Archive Search expanded
US based search engine giant Google has revealed that they have expanded their News Archive Search service.
The service digitizes archives of newspapers from around the globe and makes them searchable.
It is part of the company’s aim to provide all the information on the web with excellent searching ability.
Google announced in a blog post that they are now quadrupling the number of articles included in News Archive Search.
Some of the new newspapers added in the archive include the Halifax Gazette, Sydney Morning Herald, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and the Village Voice.
Google also highlighted the fact that the service includes content from previous centuries. In fact the oldest article is from June 1753!
