Europe to get regular edition of Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8

Microsoft has made another turnaround. The company has now said that they would ship the regular version of their Windows 7 operating system in the European markets.

Europe would get Windows 7 that would come pre-installed with Internet Explorer 8 web browser.

The software giant is likely to include a browser ballot screen that would enable users to install an alternative web browser as well if he desires.

Microsoft has earlier announced that they would sell a special edition Windows 7 in Europe that would lack any preinstalled web browser.

The software giant said that they received tons of feedback from customers who were worried about not having a web browser after a fresh installation of the upcoming new edition of Windows operating system.

A company representative said: “In the wake of last week’s developments, as well as continuing feedback on Windows 7 E that we have received from computer manufacturers and other business partners, I’m pleased to report that we will ship the same version of Windows 7 in Europe in October that we will ship in the rest of the world.”
