Windows 7 free for a select group of testers!
Microsoft has announced that they are indeed going to give a free copy of Windows 7 operating system to a select group of testers.
The company said in a blog post:
To show our appreciation, members of the invitation-only Windows 7 Technical Beta Program will be eligible for a free, final copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. For more information on how to take advantage of this, refer to Paul’s post in the .Beta_Program newsgroup for details.
This is applicable to the limited number of beta testers who were invited by the company to test out the Windows 7 builds.
The company has been changing their stance on this in the recent times. The testing phase was launched with the promise that a copy of Windows 7 would be provided. The company recently said that they are not going to provide a free copy. And now this.
