Microsoft to release emergency patch for Internet Explorer

Microsoft has revealed that they would be issuing critical updates for their Internet Explorer web browser.

This patch is expected to be released later today and arrives before the next scheduled patch Tuesday release from the company.

Microsoft has been forced to release this untimely update after security experts were able to bypass a critical security mechanism in their web browser product.

Security expert Eric Schultze spoke about this flaw: “It’s huge because then you can execute controls on the box that weren’t intended to be executed.”

Market reports claim that the company has known about this bug for more than a year now. But they are taking actions only now.

Ryan Smith is one of the security experts who discovered the flaw. He is currently scheduled to discuss this bug at the upcoming Black Hat event.
