Spotify targets Apple iPhone users with mobile app
Spotify has announced that they have submitted their application for sale on the Apple App Store.
They are currently waiting for Appleās approval before the application appears on the store.
Spotify said that they cannot state any launch date as it all depends upon Apple and their reviewers.
The mobile app would enable Apple iPhone users to save up to 3,000 songs to their handsets.
They would also be able to listen to these songs even if they are not in broadband coverage areas.
The service is considered by many to be a rival to Apple iTunes service as it enables users to listen to songs on demand.
The service however is only available in some European markets like Sweden, Norway, Finland, Britain, France and Spain.
The free service is supported by advertising. Users can also go for a paid plan which costs around 9.99 Euros a month.
Spotify plans to make the application available to only premium customers who are paying to get access to their music library.
