Microsoft adopts more from Opera, Firefox for Internet Explorer 7
Any one who has used alternative web browsers like Opera and Firefox would know that deleting history and cache in Internet Explorer is lot more complicated compared to its alternatives. Now, Microsoft is making these required changes, which would make it easier for Internet Explorer users to get rid of traces of browsed history.
The company has confirmed that Internet Explorer 7 would have a new option in their menus making it easier for users to clean its history and all associated files stored after a Web site is accessed. The browser would now feature a “delete browsing history” feature under the “tools” menu. This option would provide several options to the users to get rid of unwanted data from the computer.
This setting would basically provide five major options: temporary Internet files, cookies, history, form data, and passwords. Users would be able to get rid of all of them at once or clean them as per their preferences. Opera and Firefox users have had similar features in their browsers since a long time and it is apparent that IE development team is noticing the usability of making these settings more accessible.
Microsoft has already released a public beta of Internet Explorer 7 and the final release is expected to be out sometime during this year. IE 7 would also be an integral part of the upcoming Microsoft Vista operating system from the company.
