Yahoo Image Search enhanced with points of interest feature
Yahoo has upgraded their image search service to make it more powerful and user friendly.
They have added a new service which highlights the points of interest when a user searches for a place.
If you search for a particular city, Yahoo would respond with popular travelling spots in that city.
User can click on any of these destinations to checkout photos of that place.
Most of the photos fetched for this service come from Flickr.
Yahoo added in a blog post:
The Yahoo! Image Search refiner is currently available for location-specific searches, but we are planning to expand this capability to other types of image searches as well. In the meantime, explore aspects of cities like Las Vegas or find pics of a major tourist destination, like Barcelona. We would love to hear what you think!
