Nokia invests in Cellity
World’s leading mobile phone maker Nokia has announced that they are acquiring certain assets of Germany based start-up Cellity.
Cellity operates a mobile social networking service that is now scheduled to close in September.
The service has been operating in beta mode for months now.
Nokia has confirmed that they have no plans to run the social network after the acquisition.
Instead, they are going to focus on using the company’s expertise to improve their own range of services.
Nokia operates their OVI mobile store which has a social element inside it.
