MySpace to become an online gaming platform!

MySpace is already dominated by music groups. The parent company News Corp is now aiming to make it a leading online gaming platform.

News Corp digital team head Jonathan Miller has said that they are now working on enhancing the online gaming aspects of MySpace to make it more competitive in the social networking market.

Facebook is the dominating player globally and they have been increasing their lead over MySpace.

Miller added: “MySpace is and will be more in the future a gaming platform, a space for people to meet and play games.”

Market analysts are however not sure. MySpace has been struggling. They are not gaining too many new members. Their video service is nowhere compared to YouTube. Facebook dominates the social networking aspect. They would have to do something special to improve their image.
