BlackBerry Desktop coming to Mac OS X
There is some good news for the owners of Blackberry smartphones who also own Apple Macs.
Research in Motion has announced that they are going to launch BlackBerry Desktop for the Mac platform later this year.
The application is already available on the Windows platform.
With the Mac version of the BlackBerry Desktop, Blackberry users would be able to sync data and media files from their Macs to mobile devices.
It is basically the Apple iTunes for Blackberry devices.
Users would also be able to update their Blackberry devices with new firmware with this product.
RIM however said that the Mac version would only work on the recent releases of Mac OS X. They are aiming to support only Mac OS X versions 10.5.5 and up.
