Apple App Store has now served 1.5 billion downloads

Apple continues to touch new milestones with their mobile applications store.

The company has now revealed that the Apple App Store has now served more than 1.5 billion downloads.

Apple App Store had turned one year old last week. This is a phenomenal achievement for this digital store.

Incidentally, the store managed to reach this milestone just three months after it touched the 1 billion mark.

This means that the App Store is now handling more than 4 million downloads per day!

Apple CEO Steve Jobs spoke about this latest achievement: “The App Store is like nothing the industry has ever seen before in both scale and quality. With 1.5 billion apps downloaded, it is going to be very hard for others to catch up.”
