Microsoft Office 2010 testing begins

US based software giant Microsoft has started testing their upcoming Office 2010 release with a select group of beta testers.

This would be an important update for this office productivity suite from Microsoft as it would include web based versions of the applications as well.

Microsoft is not providing access to the web based applications to the beta testers yet.

Industry experts believe that the company is on schedule to launch MS Office 2010 early next year.

Microsoft is already scheduled to launch Windows 7 in October this year.

Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 were released simultaneously.

The company said that the new versions would focus on improved productivity along with better collaboration tools.

One of the features being highlighted in the media is the video editing capabilities that have been added in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010.
