Digital Sky Technologies puts Facebook value between USD 6.5-10 billion
Digital Sky Technologies is interested in enhancing their stake in the popular social networking service Facebook.
The company has announced that they would invest up to $100 million to buy shares from Facebook stockholders.
They are offering around $14.77 per share from current and former employees. This offer puts the value of Facebook at around USD 6.5 billion.
Incidentally, they had previously acquired $200 million worth of preferred shares in Facebook in May this year. That deal had put the value of Facebook at around USD 10 billion.
Microsoft is also a minor stockholder in the company. They had paid $240 million for a 1.6% stake in the company which had put the value of Facebook at around USD 15 billion.
