Majority of companies planning to skip Windows 7 update
US based software giant Microsoft is scheduled to launch Windows 7 in October this year.
This release is critical for the company as they aim to leave behind the mess created by Windows Vista.
Microsoft is hoping that corporate customers around the world would finally upgrade from Windows XP based installations to Windows 7.
However, market surveys have a different story for us.
Market research firm ScriptLogic has revealed that as per their survey, about 60 percent of the companies have no plans to deploy Windows 7.
Around 34% are aiming to start deploying it by the end of next year. The remaining would switch to it immediately.
Around 42% of the companies said that they are going to avoid Windows 7 because of lack of time and resources.
A lot of companies are going to skip Windows 7 due to the weak economy.
