Digg to discard complete support for Internet Explorer 6

Social bookmarking service Digg has revealed that they have decided to stop worrying about Internet Explorer 6 users in the future updates.

Internet Explorer 6 users would still be able to access the Digg service but they would not get access to all the features.

Support for IE6 would not discover overnight. But it is likely to be depreciated in future updates on Digg.com.

Digg said only a minority of their visitors are on IE6 now. And a lesser number of those visitors are using the advanced features.

The developers said that it takes them a lot of time to ensure that all the new features are working on this ancient web browser. They are going to spend that time on other important things.

Microsoft has already released Internet Explorer 8 which is a much safer and feature enhanced version.
