Google Chrome OS is good news for ARM chip users
Google recently announced that they were working on a Linux based operating system that would be compatible with Intel and ARM processors.
This is good news for manufacturers using ARM chips on their products as it would give them a broader appeal.
If Google Chrome OS is successful, it would give more options to manufacturers developing low cost computing products.
Intel already has their Atom range of processors but they practically have a monopoly in the market with AMD staying out.
Market analysts believe that if Google can deliver respectable performance on their Chrome OS with ARM chips, it could become a possible headache for Intel.
