Apple is celebrating the first anniversary of their mobile store.
Apple App Store turns one year old this week.
The company said in a statement:
“Light a candle and cue the music. OK, forgive us for sounding like doting parents, but we’re just so proud–having watched the App Store go from promising newcomer to full-fledged revolutionary. To celebrate its first birthday, we’ve gathered some of our favorite games and apps. Part fun. Part function. Entirely amazing.”
Apple App Store has been massively successful for the company in terms of mega numbers. It currently has more than 50,000 applications. More than 1 billion downloads have taken place. It is one of the best reasons to go for the iPhone over competing smartphones.
Apple App Store provides applications for iPhone and iPod Touch. It support both free and paid applications.
