Patch Tuesday: Microsoft to fix two zero-day vulnerabilities
Microsoft has announced that they would release a couple of crucial bug fixes in the upcoming Patch Tuesday updates for the month of July.
The company revealed that the fixes would include the patch for the zero-day vulnerability in its Video ActiveX Control.
Microsoft had confirmed this bug in their product only last week.
The updates would also include a patch for a similar problem in their DirectShow software. This bug was confirmed in May.
The good news is that these two bugs affect their older operating systems. Windows Vista and Server 2008 users are safe.
The company overall said that they would release six security bulletins on July 14.
