Pandora survives as SoundExchange agrees for a deal
Users of Pandora internet radio have some good news. The web based radio station would survive but with some conditions.
The group of internet radio stations have signed on an agreement with SoundExchange which represents the copyright holders related to the fees on royalty.
The agreement would however mean that the heavy users of Pandora service would now be required to pay a small fee for accessing the service.
Pandora said in a blog post: “The royalty crisis is over. This ensures that Pandora will continue streaming music for many years to come.”
The service would now allow 40 hours of free listening per month. Users can get unlimited access for just 99 cents a month.
