Google confirms Google Apps Standard Edition is still free
Google Apps Standard Edition is one of the most useful services provided by Google to budding web entrepreneurs.
The service enables anyone to get a hosted web application suite linked to one’s domain.
So, you can use your own email Ids with Gmail and Google Docs functionality.
The company also offers a paid version of the suite with extra features and support options.
However, not everyone can afford the paid license so they stick with the free standard edition which we believe is a great value offer (it’s free!).
Google has been playing games with web users by making it hard for them to find out the application page for the free version.
Market analysts started speculating that this just might be the end of the free version of Google Apps.
Google has however confirmed in a blog post that the free version is not going anywhere (for now at least).
Google said: “We have no intention of eliminating Standard Edition, and we apologize for any confusion.”
We are happy to hear that news.
