Microsoft might offer Windows 7 on USB Drives!

Industry sources are claiming that Microsoft is considering offering Windows 7 on USB disks to customers who would like to install it on a netbook.

Netbooks are low cost laptop computers which usually ship without an optical drive.

Installing an operating system on these machines is a rather tedious task because of the lack of a CD-DVD drive.

Most of the users end up using a USB drive based installer. Others have to purchase an external drive.

Microsoft has been showcasing Windows 7 running on netbooks ever since it was displayed first to the media.

The company needs to capture this market because it is growing at an impressive pace.
