Palm App Catalog finally hits one million download milestone

Palm Pre was launched earlier this month. The launch has been fairly successful for the company.

However, one of the biggest complaints of Pre owners was the lack of applications on the Palm App Catalog.

Palm has been working hard to make sure that new applications are added on a regular basis. Still, they are far from challenging the Apple App Store in this department.

The company has however reached a major milestone with their App Catalog.

Palm has revealed that more than one million applications have been downloaded from the store by Pre owners in the country.

Market analysts believe that the company has shipped around 150,000 Pre devices since the launch on June 6.

This is not a great number but it still is a good beginning for the company which had practically disappeared from the ‘cool’ smartphone segment.
