Majority of Apple iPhone Apps have few users
AdMob has released their latest report on the usage of mobile applications available on the Apple App Store.
The report is not encouraging for either Apple or developers of these applications.
Apple claims that their App Store has more than 50,000 applications.
However, the report by AdMob claims that majority of these applications find few end users in the real world.
The report took into account 2,309 apps in their network and 15.1 million unique users of the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Just around 5% of these applications had more than 100,000 active users. Another 14% applications had between 10,000-100,000 users. 27% of the apps had between 1000-10,000 users. The remaining majority had fewer than 1000 active users.
