Adobe Flash 10 for mobile devices coming soon
Adobe has announced that they are going to release the beta edition of Flash 10 for mobile devices by October this year.
The company recently displayed an early edition of this plug-in for mobile browsers last year.
Adobe is now aiming to release the beta version at the upcoming Adobe’s MAX conference this fall.
Adobe chief executive officer Shantanu Narayen said: “We are bringing Flash Player 10 to smartphone class devices to enable the latest web browsing experience. Multiple partners have already received early versions of this release and we expect to release a beta version for developers at our MAX Conference in October. Google’s Android, Nokia’s Symbian OS, Windows Mobile, and the New Palm Web OS will be among the first devices to support web browsing with the newest Flash player.”
Apple iPhone is one platform which is still not confirmed for this update. Apple has been rejecting the idea of allowing Adobe Flash technology on their platform.
Adobe continues to claim that they are working with Apple to enable iPhone users to enjoy Flash powered content on their devices.
