IBM launches Seer Android mobile app for Wimbledon

IBM has announced the launch of a new mobile application for Google Android powered devices.

This application is based on the Seer Android platform and is focused on the Wimbledon.

IBM said that the application would deliver real-time statistics and updates from social networking site Twitter.

It would also feature latest comments from the players and video feeds from the matches.

IBM representative Alan Flack added: “It’s about visualising data in a different way. The trial needs to be fun to improve the experience people have at the tournament. By exploring new technologies, we can bring information to life by making it useful, engaging and accessible.”

Also available is an application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
