CrossOver 8 released
Codeweavers has released the latest edition of their CrossOver virtualization software for Intel-based Macs.
CrossOver 8 is available in two editions: Standard and Pro. Costs between USD 40 and USD 70.
CrossOver is based on the popular open source Wine project. It enables Apple Mac users to run Windows based applications without running the Windows Operating System itself.
The developers said that this new edition support new range of applications like Quicken 2009, Internet Explorer 7 and Photoshop CS2.
They have also improved support for other products like MS Office 2003, MS Office 2007, QuickTime 7, Outlook 2000 and FrameMaker.
There are some new features as well like improved dual-monitor support, copy and paste functionality.
