Facebook looks at India for growth
Orkut and Hi5 are two of the dominating social networking services in India.
However, Facebook is catching up rather fast.
They have now added support for six Indian languages to further boost their popularity in this country.
Facebook now supports as many as 57 international languages and they are working on more.
Facebook representative Javier Olivan said: “We’ve been literally launching almost a language a week.”
They are however not interested in opening up a regional office in India.
Facebook has support for Indian languages including Bengali, Hindi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.
